Practice Experience

Jay Y Nee’s practice focuses on trade remedies (including antidumping and countervailing duties), customs, foreign investment, international business operations, intellectual property (e.g., Section 337) and WTO issues. Concerning trade remedy cases, Mr. Jay Y Nee has advised companies involved in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations of electronics, steel products, textiles, semiconductors, auto parts, paper and wood products, agricultural products and petrochemical products.

Mr. Nee has extensive experience representing exporters and U.S. importers in proceedings in the United States, the EU, and other jurisdictions, particularly exporters for investigations before the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International Trade Commission. His clients have involved economies as diverse as Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Thailand, Japan and Vietnam. He has solid financial and cost accounting foundations and knowledge of international business transactions. Mr. Nee is especially familiar with steel products, semiconductors and petrochemicals.

Mr Jay Y Nee’s prior experience includes nine years with White & Case LLP (Taipei, Shanghai and Washington DC) as a trade consultant and foreign attorney, and three years with Hunton & Williams LLP (Washington DC and Singapore) as a legal consultant.
