Since February 2020, the International Trade Centre (ITC) has been implementing the five-year project “Facilitating the Process of Uzbekistan’s Accession to the WTO”, funded by the European Union. The project supports Uzbekistan’s economic reform agenda by leveraging the WTO accession process.

Within the framework of this project, Appleton Luff partner Marta Ledwos delivered on-site training on international Rules of Origin practices to customs officials of Uzbekistan in September 2025. The training contributed to strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing understanding of WTO-consistent Rules of Origin as part of Uzbekistan’s WTO accession process.
