Dr. Calvin Chang is a technology expert . He has been immersed in electrical engineering and computer science since he entered National Chiao-Tung University (NCTU) of Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1999. As a college and graduate school student in the Department of Electronics Engineering, he received the prestigious Academic Achievement Award three times and showed his remarkable talent for quantum physics, signal processing and program coding technique. He initially worked on RF circuit design in Ta-Hwa Institute of Technology (THIT) and published international papers regarding GHz filter design. During his PhD program, he further specialized in semiconductor device physics and was a member of three Joint Development Programs with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), a company which focus on cutting-edge nano-scale FinFET transistor physics. As a device engineer in TSMC, he was involved in 20/16/10 nm technology transfer from R&D to mass production and helped to ramp up Apple chip developments. Dr. Chang also had experience on big-data analysis including database management, data mining and data visualization. He was a visiting data analyst in Tenzing Collective Inc., a Seattle-based company. Later, as a chief designer of HV power device in PFC-device, he developed a software analysis tool for rapid inspection of product characteristics, increasing processing speed multiple times.

Dr. Chang’s current interests are in next generation power semiconductor devices and IP management. He is also a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and holds Certificate in Business Intelligence from University of Washington, Seattle.

Dr. Chang has several patents filed in the United States and China.
