Practice Experience
Arthur is a Belgian lawyer specialising in trade agreements negotiation, international humanitarian law and international sanctions. After obtaining his degree in Public International Law with magna cum laude and trained at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, he joined Appleton Luff in 2015 and was admitted to the Bar in February 2016.
At Appleton Luff, he works on African regional integration, regulatory compliance, institutional development, WTO accession, international arbitration. He advises regional organisations, governments and enterprises on taking advantage of international agreements. He also represents victims of international crimes in reparation procedures before Belgian courts.
Arthur also lectures on public international law and international legal research methodology at the Université libre de Bruxelles. He is an editorial assistant of The Military Law and the Law of War Review.
