Ed Sim's NUS Law Class Visits ASEAN Secretariat and US Mission to ASEAN 14.02.2012

The students of Ed Sim's ASEAN Economic Community Law and Policy course (taught at National University of Singapore law school) participated in on-site seminars in Jakarta on February 13. The seminars were hosted by ASEAN Deputy Secretary General S. Pushpanathan and US Ambassador to ASEAN David Carden.  The seminar discussed the ASEAN Charter, ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement, ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement, ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services, ASEAN Protocol on Enhanced Dispute Mechanism, ASEAN’s free trade agreements and other aspects of the ASEAN EC.  Ambassador Carden spoke about ASEAN’s regional integration efforts could help improve the rule of law, corporate governance and quality of life for ASEAN citizens.
